Dental Technology

In-House Dental Lab
Not only do our doctors work closely with one another to achieve the best results for every patient, but they also collaborate with our expert ceramists in our in-house dental lab. We are able to ensure perfectly crafted, custom prosthetics instead of working with an outside lab where we have little control over the quality of the product. This is just one more way we are going above and beyond to provide you with the best service possible.
We have full control of the process and quality. Everything from start to finish is done in our location.

Dental Sedation
Nitrous "Laughing Gas" Dentistry
Also known as laughing gas, Nitrous Oxide is beneficial in calming a patient's anxiety before a procedure. It is a sweet-smelling, non-irritating, colorless gas that you can breathe.
Oral Conscious Sedation
Are you extremely anxious about visiting the dentist? We can administer an oral sedative to relax you before performing any restorative dental procedure. Safe and effective, Oral Sedation allows you to remain awake and aware, but your anxiety will be reduced for any dental procedure.
IV Sedation
Conscious IV Sedation is also known as "twilight sleep." We are specialty trained to offer this type of sedation. It is particularly good for patients with strong gag reflexes and high dental anxiety or those requiring multi-visit procedures that would prefer the work to be done in one visit. IV Sedation is also used in most oral surgery procedures and requires more planning on the patient's and doctor's part. The patient will be groggy after the procedure and will need a friend or family member to drive them home and monitor them for the next few hours.
General Anesthesia
Intravenous general anesthesia is an excellent solution for phobic patients. In our office, we utilize an Anesthesiologist to administer the sedation.
This form of anesthesia puts our patients in a peaceful sleep state for the entire duration of the dental treatment. Anxious patients receive anesthesia before the procedure begins. They remain in an unconscious sleep state for the procedure and then gradually wake up. Most phobic clients rave about anesthesia because you essentially skip the entire event!
Furthermore, the pain that may incur during a procedure cannot be felt. Again, patients are completely asleep and anesthetized during the process and cannot feel any pain in this state.

3D Cone Beam X-Rays
In an effort to continue to offer our patients the newest and safest technology, our dental office has implemented cone beam 3D diagnostic technology. This technology surpasses the traditional two-dimensional technology, such as digital X-rays and standard film, in many ways. The benefits of cone beam 3D technology include:
-
- More accurate images
-
- Less exposure to harmful radiation
-
- Ability to comprehensively evaluate all bony anatomy
-
- More cost-effective for both the patient and the dentist
-
- Better patient understanding of their dental health
-
- Images are taken in an open environment, increasing patient comfort
We are proud to be one of the first dental practices to utilize CBCT technology. With cone beam 3D imaging, we can be more precise in diagnosing dental problems, including conditions that are more difficult to diagnose with traditional X-rays. Cone beam 3D diagnostic imaging also helps our dentists predictably and successfully place dental implants. We can utilize cone beam 3D imaging to assist in planning and completing several types of treatment, including dental implants, root canal treatment, and more.

Intraoral 3D Scanning Technology
We pride ourselves on implementing the latest and greatest dental technology that is available, including Intraoral 3D Scanning. This allows us to eliminate the need for traditional impressions which require large uncomfortable trays to stay in the patient's mouth for several minutes while the impression material sets. Intraoral 3D Scanning is much quicker and there is virtually NO cleanup as NO messy impression material is used, which can get on the patient's face and clothes and also cause a gagging sensation.
With Intraoral 3D Scanning, the impression is digital and displays on a computer screen immediately for the doctor and patient to see as it is being taken. This allows our doctors to instantly review your dental status and recommended treatment with a visual display. See what we see!
Treatment time is also expedited as the case is sent to the lab immediately through a digital file, as opposed to the additional days required for traditional shipment. Intraoral 3D Scanning is FUN too! All of our patients enjoy seeing and experiencing this advanced dental technology. It creates a better patient experience while being more accurate and comfortable at the same time.

3D Printing Technology
Using a combination of a sophisticated Intraoral Scanner and 3D Printer, we are able to make exceptionally accurate digital impressions that can be utilized to manufacture denture prosthetics on the same day!
That means you can avoid:
- Messy, gooey and uncomfortable impression materials
- Waiting weeks for your prosthetic to come back from the lab
- We can create your new denture prosthetics on the Same Day!
